From year 2011-2012, the class code ECx (stands for English
Chinese classes) is changed to CSLx (Chinese as Second
Language), where "x" indicates the grade level of the class.
Both the Heritage Chinese class (HCN) and the CSL classes are
provided on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, contingent on the
number of students registered to the class.
The Friday classes are between
7:00-9:00PM on the
Chaboya Middle School campus. Saturday
and Sunday classes
are between 9:00AM and 6:00PM at
the Achieve Learning
Center. The detailed schedule will be
determined based on actual registration.
The
HCN classes, most students from Chinese-speaking family, have
classes from Kindergarten through 9th grade.
The
CSL classes, the one utilizes more English in teaching, with
most students from non-Chinese-speaking families, have classes for Chinese
grade level of 1, 2, 3 and 4, called CSL1, CSL2, CSL3 and CSL4.
